Story
Your scholarship has been made possible by the friends and family of Warren G. White, who established the Warren G. White Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Community Foundation for Oceana County. Warren moved to Muskegon as a child and graduated from Muskegon Public Schools. Eager to help those around him, he enrolled in Michigan State University and later earned his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Warren moved to Pentwater in 1975, becoming a School Social Worker for the Oceana County Intermediate School District. He was passionate about helping young students find their path in life. Warren moved to Hart Public Schools to serve his community as a counselor and teacher. Outside of the classroom, Warren was active in his church’s youth group and served as a leader. Warren’s life centered on education and supporting his students as a dedicated educator. His scholarship honors his legacy as a teacher and mentor by supporting seniors graduating from any high school in Oceana County.
