Story
Ron Beeber and Amy LaBarge, recognized as the Pentwater Service Club’s 2022 Citizens of the Year, became full-time residents of Pentwater in 2011. They established the LaBarge-Beeber Family Fund at the Community Foundation for Oceana County in 2013. Ron helps local nonprofits with communications, while Amy fundraises for the Pentwater Historical Society and co-chairs the Pentwater Yacht Club’s capital campaign. As active donor-advised fundholders, they support community initiatives, including funding an automated external defibrillator for the Oceana County Sheriff’s Department and a $5,000 grant for acoustic improvements at the Park Place Community Center.
