Story
Scott & Angela Geiger established the Oceana Aviators Scholarship Fund of the Community Foundation for Oceana County. This fund was created out of Scott Geiger’s love for all things aviation, given to an Oceana County student pursuing an education in that field. As area residents, Scott and Angela wanted to share the gift of flight with those that share Scott’s passion for exploration. He is a pilot and hopes to encourage students to explore the aviation industry. Oceana County is home to a regional airport where pilots can soar over Lake Michigan, its sand dunes, and neighboring forestry. While the beauty of Oceana County is abundant, few can see its profile from above. The Oceana Aviators Scholarship is designed to encourage local students to pursue a career in aviation, helping others experience the magic of flight.
