Story
Elaine and Lee Curtis were dedicated members of the Pentwater community for over 50 years. Together, they established two charitable funds at the Oceana Community Foundation to support scholarships and community programs, reflecting their deep love for Pentwater. Lee was a passionate teacher, nature enthusiast, and founder of the Halcyon Nature Center, where he shared his love for the outdoors. Elaine, also a beloved teacher, spent many years educating 3rd graders in Pentwater. Their legacy of education, conservation, and community service continues to inspire and benefit the Pentwater community today.
