Story
Established by the William R Lathers Trust to support programs, projects and activities of the Oceana County Sheriff's offices that are not able to be funded through the county’s general fund. Since it was established, the Friends Fund has partnered with different community leaders and businesses to accomplish several public safety projects. Those projects include the acquisition & training of a new K-9 dog (Laz), the installation of Knox Boxes at all school buildings, the purchase & outfitting of a dive team trailer, annual water safety events and recently the purchase of a new safety boat for Silver Lake.
