Story
Ed & Evelyn Kolbe have a strong passion for public service, farming and their home town of Hesperia. Knowing that none of their blended family of 6 children stayed in Hesperia, they wanted to make sure some of their assets remained to benefit their cherished community. It is the place where they met, worked, raised their children and served their communities. She as the first female Hesperia school board member, first female County Commissioner and representative on many other nonprofit boards. He as a long-time Township Board member and lifetime Hesperia Chamber of Commerce member. Both care deeply for Oceana and are also quick to remind people "there is an east side to this county too." "We know there are going to be needs in Hesperia and we will be ready to help," said the Kolbes.
