Story
Robert & Rose Haase were from Cicero, IL. He served in the army and rose worked in a factory making war products during WWII. They fell in love with Oceana County after experiencing it via boating trips with friends and moved to hart in 1979. Bob & Rose ran an upholstery business out of their home and were involved in their church and he was an active Hart Rotarian. Although they never had any formal education beyond high school , they felt strongly about the importance of higher education for young people. In their trust, they left gifts to their parish - St. Gregory’s church, the Hart Rotary Club and made an unrestricted gift to the Foundation.
