Purpose
To support the construction of a paved trail between Pentwater & Hart.

Story
The desire for Pentwater to be connected to the Hart-Montague Trail has been a dream for many years. Through community support and planned grant submissions this dream will become a reality to be enjoyed by many. The current planned route will connect the Pentwater and Hart downtown business districts. From Pentwater, bicyclists would pedal along Monroe Road to Longbridge, and Longbridge to Wayne Road. From there, a 10-foot wide, 5.1 mile trail -- separated by a 2-foot wide safety zone -- would be constructed adjacent to Wayne Road to Harrison, Harrison to 72nd Street, and 72nd Street to Tyler. Bicyclists would then pedal along Tyler in a marked bike lane to Water Street, where they could then access downtown Hart and the Hart-Montague Trail Head. The trail would benefit the economies of both Pentwater and Hart. Additionally, this trail contributes to the recreation opportunities of families, and tourists
