Purpose
To support the Crystal Valley Care Fund efforts to help Oceana residents in need after house fire or during catastrophic illness or cancer.

Story
Since 1992 this grass-roots organization has quietly raised funds to “love” on Oceana families facing catastrophic hardships – house fires, life-threatening illnesses and other life-stomping moments. The Care Fund operates 100% with volunteers, donated office equipment, a PO Box and a listening ear when you call. You won’t find any “overhead” with this organization. Many area groups have held fundraising events, raffles, workplace challenges etc to benefit the Care Fund. In an effort to increase the long-term strength of this nonprofit, an anonymous donor helped established a permanent endowment fund at the Foundation with an initial donation of $10,000 and a community challenge match of an additional $25,000. The community responded back with "love" and met the match quickly, creating a growing funding stream to support their important work in Oceana County.
