Story
Pete & Cathy Miller, residents of Illinois, have vacationed in Pentwater for the past 25 years. They love Oceana County and have received so much joy from their time here. Wanting to give something back to this great area, they decided to start the Miller Charitable Fund. They especially enjoy contributing towards projects that benefit area kids and have done so in significant ways. The Miller Charitable Fund has contributed towards the Pentwater Chamber Pie Contest scholarships and Pete and Cathy helped organize those auctions for many years. Most recently, they contributed the lead gift towards the Hart Skate Park. Without their $15,000 challenge grant to the community, this highly needed youth project, that has floundered for 7 years with a lack of funding, would not be a reality. The match was met and Hart Ramps & Rails is now built and enjoyed by youth around the community.
