Story
Collin Hansen was born and raised in Hart, Michigan, growing up with family businesses and area essentials Hansen Foods and Tubbs Orchards. Dedicated to welding in his early teens, Collin attended West Shore Community College and was trained by the Ironworkers Union before joining the Ironworkers Local #340 in Battle Creek. Collin enjoyed the outdoors, joining Cheap Thrills Off-Roading and Whitetails Unlimited. Before his tragic passing in 2012, he worked for Excel Propane as a welder and driver for years. Collin's parents created his memorial scholarship to honor his life and passion; his scholarship helps encourage residents to attend skilled trade programs.
