Purpose
Scholarships for graduating seniors of any public school in Oceana County, current college students from Oceana County or adult learners living in Oceana County, who are pursuing a degree or certification in engineering or skilled trades at any accredited institution.

Story
Traces of Gene Davidson's renowned metal and woodwork installations can be found throughout Pentwater, whether it be the massive map of Michigan at the Pentwater Artisan Center, the handcrafted canoes hanging in the Pentwater Yacht Club, or the Foundation's Legacy Society display. Gene and wife Barbara established the Pentwater Artisan Learning Center as a haven for artists to gather and learn, regardless of experience or skill. Barbara and members of the Learning Center established the Gene Davidson Engineering & Skilled Trades Scholarship after his passing to support Oceana students pursuing a skilled trade or engineering degree or certification.
