Purpose
For graduating seniors of Hart High School, pursuing a degree towards elementary education (preference) or any education degree, in memory of Hart Public Schools elementary teacher Melissa S. Fralic.

Story
Melissa Fralic came from a background rich in education, as she was raised in a family of educators. She continued their passion for education by earning her elementary teaching degree from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in literacy from Western Michigan University. Melissa taught kindergarten at Hart Public Schools through their Head Start and Great Start Readiness programs. She was a dedicated educator before her untimely death. Melissa was a constant source of empathy and grace in her classroom and community. Her friends and family hope to support students pursuing education to maintain the same kind spirit. Her legacy as an educator and student lives on in this scholarship, awarded to students from Hart pursuing degrees in elementary education.
