Story
Dorothy established her fund in 2019, making her first grants at the age of 100. She supported local causes like LOVE, Inc., Shelby Library, and Trinity Lutheran Church. Dorothy was passionate about helping others and eager to learn about new programs. A lifelong Oceana County resident, she worked as both a secretary and farmer, served as a township treasurer, and organized the first Asparagus Festival. Her daughter and granddaughter will continue her legacy through her fund, honoring Dorothy’s generous spirit and dedication to her community.
