Story
Peterson Farms established a charitable fund with the Community Foundation to support area students, educational programs, and other charitable interests. Previously a quiet supporter of community initiatives, they now aim to streamline their giving and enhance their community impact. Early partnerships include helping the Oceana Sheriff’s Office establish a K-9 program and supporting the Hunter Education program. The company has also piloted mentoring programs for Shelby High School students, focusing on goal setting and essential work skills. Additionally, they contributed to a STEM program at Thomas Read Elementary, providing tools for hands-on learning. Recently, they awarded scholarships to four local students, furthering their commitment to education and community development.
