Story
Joseph P. Warmbier came to Hart in 1949 from Champagne, Illinois. Characterized as hardworking and comical, Joseph earned his living by learning the plastering trade. While he only attended school through the sixth grade, he wanted to help other children further their education upon his death. Accordingly, the Hart Public Schools Foundation established this fund to award scholarships to graduating seniors from Hart High School. Joseph cared deeply for those around him, always eager to enjoy the company of his friends and family. He enjoyed the outdoors with a passion for camping and fishing and cared deeply for animals of all kinds. Joseph’s hard-working spirit continues to serve Oceana County by aiding Hart graduates in continuing their education.
