Story
Clancy was born & raised in Hart, graduating in 1953. He then attended MSU’s agricultural program, receiving his B.S. in Dairy Manufacturing. Shortly thereafter he married his bride Rita and they had five children. Following his military service, he spent many years in the USDA for the dairy market, while living in Oceana County and southeastern Michigan. Upon retirement, they returned to Hart and Clancy embraced many leadership roles at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Boy Scouts, Hart City Council and was a certified EMT. The Oceana County Fair was a major & beloved activity of his life, serving as secretary for 8 years and President for 17 years.
