Story
John and Beatrice Gebhart raised their children alongside their thriving business, Golden Hart Fruit Farms. Their daughter, Shirley, would carry on the legacy of their family's farm with her husband of fifty-five years, Bob Oles. After earning her education degree, Shirley began her forty-year career in Walkerville and then Hart as a much-beloved home-economics teacher. Bob established the Shirley L. Oles Educational Scholarship to preserve Shirley's memory as a truly influential educator, supporting graduates of Hart and Walkerville.
