Dr. George Wade Charitable Giving Fund
The George Wade Story
HONORING A LEGACY OF GIVING CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR OTHERS
The Dr. George Wade Charitable Giving Fund was created in 2025 to honor the legacy of giving and good will that George Wade modeled throughout his life. This fund is a tribute to George, an orthopedic surgeon, scholar-athlete, river rafter, mountain biker, skier and all around adventurer. Established by family and friends, the fund advances academic scholarships, youth sports, the Treasure Valley YMCA and other worthy causes George supported.
Wanting to give back, in gratitude for the many opportunities he received growing up, George was a humble, quiet and generous benefactor to numerous organizations. George brought joy, wisdom and kindness into the world and lived with passion and humility.
With grants supporting college scholarships, youth sports, athletic training and outdoor experiences, the fund will ensure youth in Idaho and others have access to opportunities and education that George was provided and enjoyed growing up and throughout his lifetime. The fund perpetuates the selfless generosity of giving and good will that George lived by.

George lived a life of impact and intention. He healed bodies, supported youth, protected futures, fostered friendships and brought a genuine spirit of love to everyone he encountered. George founded the Idaho Sports Medicine Institute and co-founded the Idaho Youth Sports Commission. We will remember George for his accomplishments, generosity and friendships, but more than that, we will remember George for the VERY GOOD PERSON he was.
