Women's Giving Connection of Southern Idaho Fund

Purpose
This Fund was created by the Women's Giving Connection of Southern Idaho to provide pooled giving opportunities by an inclusive and diverse group of women for the purpose of dedicated grant making to local non-profits, as well as building a collective giving endowment.

 

The Women’s Giving Connection (WGC) empowers women to become educated philanthropists who create positive change locally through collective grant making.

 

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP:

Open to all ages – Donate $1100 annually with a pledge for 3 years – $500 will go into the pooled local grants and $500 will be invested with the Idaho Community Foundation through their endowment program. This endowment will be named the Women’s Giving Connection of Southern Idaho Endowment and used for this intended purpose. $100 will be used annually for Administrative costs.

 

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP:  

Additional option for members ages 40 and under who are not yet prepared to commit to the General Membership – $550 annually with a pledge for 3 years, of which $250 goes into the pooled local grants and $250 will be invested with the Idaho Community Foundation through their endowment program.  This endowment will be named the Women’s Giving Connection of Southern Idaho Endowment and used for this intended purpose. $50 will be used annually for Administrative costs.

 

Where does the money go?
Dues are $1100 for Regular Members and $550 for Junior members. 45.5% of that goes in the current year Grant fund and 45.5% goes in the Grant Endowment fund. The remaining 9% goes to admin expenses such as printing, event expenses, and insurance.
