Spartanburg County Disaster Relief Fund

The Spartanburg County Disaster Relief Fund provides grants of up to $10,000, for nonprofit organizations recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. 100% of your gift to this fund will support Spartanburg County nonprofits helping our community.

Community Impact Fund

Over its 80-year history, the Foundation has been active in building our community with investments of all sizes from the Community Impact Fund. Gifts to the fund are unrestricted. Donors trust the Foundation's knowledge of the community and fiscal responsibility. They appreciate that the Foundation stays informed about community needs and can invest those pooled resources back into the community when and where they will be most helpful. This is the fund from which Foundation Trustees provide grants to nonprofits serving Spartanburg County residents.

Just Because Fund

The Just Because "surprise grants" initiative was started in 2014 as an opportunity to spontaneously and innovatively use a tactic of “ambush philanthropy” to bring awareness to issues throughout the County and highlight nonprofit organizations that are working diligently to meet those needs. It also allows Foundation staff and the community-at-large an opportunity to see the Spartanburg County Foundation doing what it does best – giving back.
