Jonathan Alan Scholarship Fund

The Jonathan Alan Scholarship Award was established in 1998 by his parents.  While a Richmond High School student, Jonathan Alan took academically challenging classes.  Following graduation, he served in the US Navy, completed an Emergency Medical Technician course at Ivy Tech State College followed by the Paramedic course at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  As an EMT/Paramedic he saved lives and delivered babies. With his work partner he won best rescue in Henry County and with another partner were runners-up in the Governor's Cup (rescue competition).  Later he tutored students in the paramedic class. He died in 2002.

 

Awarded to a Richmond High School graduating senior entering a medical profession and demonstrates financial need. Renewable and amount may increase based on student Pell Grant eligibility.
