The Eli's Purpose Memorial Scholarship was established in 2018 by his family and many friends following his tragic death.  Eli was a kind and generous soul; a leader on the basketball court, a best friend to many, and a member of a big and loving family.  He had a smile and laugh that could light up a room, and a twinkle in his eye that shined a perfect blend of sweetness and mischief.  Eli's legacy will be what every man should strive to leave behind, the memory of one with great character and decency toward others.

 

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of Hagerstown High School that exhibits a caring and adventurous spirit.
