The Fund was established by Dr. Valerie Brackett and Nikolaos Monoyios (The Founders) to create an endowment for the support of the Lemhi County Historical Society (LCHS) in perpetuity. It is the intention of the Founders that the corpus of the Fund will be invested according to the policies of the Idaho Community Foundation (ICF) and that distributions approved by the ICF will be made available to LCHS for operating expenses including, but not limited to, salaries for a professional Executive Director or other staff, maintenance and security of facilities, special exhibits, educational programs or other needs as determined by the Board of LCHS. It is the hope of the Founders that the Fund will be able to receive additional contributions from individuals, foundations or donor advised funds. They intend that, over time, these additional contributions, combined with investment appreciation, will lead to increasing distributions for the benefit of LCHS.
