Challenge Scholars Program Fund

Challenge Scholars supports students who graduate from Union High School in the classes of 2020 through 2028. Many of these students are attending colleges across the state and earning degrees! Shaped by our learnings, the Community Foundation’s work to support students is adapting.

If you are interested in giving to create opportunities for students, please consider the General Scholarship Fund or the Fund for Education or contact Shaun Shira at 616.454.1751.

Fund for Education

Supporting students through grants, scholarships and more. We strive for educational equity and where race, ethnicity and first-generation status are not predictive of post-secondary enrollment, persistence and degree or credential attainment. Through our Fund for Education the Community Foundation addresses the systemic barriers that hold students back. We collaborate with partners committed to changing these conditions so all students in Kent County can achieve their dreams. Your gift will support new and proven approaches, like support for students and families through grants and scholarships.
