Jackson High School Class of 1985 Fund
To support Jackson High School's Class of 1985 Scholarship.
The idea for the Jackson High School Class of 1985 Scholarship was introduced by Daniel Herbert who was motivated to make a difference after his high school years ended in an unexpected manner. After reaching out to his classmate, Dr. Susan Holmes-Walker, it was decided to create a scholarship to support a graduating senior with aspirations to pursue education after high school, by attending a traditional college, trade, or technical school.
Knowing students with high grade point averages and test scores often receive significant support for higher education, we engaged our fellow classmates to donate to our scholarship with the goal of supporting a student who may not qualify for funding opportunities based on academics alone. We are committed to continue fundraising to ensure the scholarship outlives all members of the Jackson High School Class of 1985.
This scholarship is intended not only to provide assistance to a graduating senior, but to thank all of our classmates, educators and administrators who made a difference in so many other ways.
