Purpose
The Dorothy and Dick Burgess Scholarship Fund was established to provide deserving young students, who might otherwise be unable to afford it, the opportunity to attend a smaller Michigan college* “I paid for my own college education and I know the difference it’s made in my life, I’d like to help deserving young people in our community do the same”. – Dick Burgess
Details

Dorothy and Dick Burgess Scholarship - up to $4,000 

• PREVIOUS RECIPIENTS ONLY 

• Resident of Jackson County, Michigan 

• Graduating high school senior, home-schooled student, previous recipients 

• Proof of financial need 

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above 

• Demonstrate good citizenship, high moral character, and potential for leadership and academic success 

• Plan to pursue a course of study that leads to a degree in earth science, engineering, premedical, or Christian ministry 

• Must attend a smaller, public, and accredited Michigan 2 or 4-year college or university 

• Plan to complete a baccalaureate degree within four consecutive years 

• Category: Engineering/Manufacturing, Health Care/Nursing, and Various Majors/Fields of Study
