Martha and Oliver Hansen Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund
Purpose
The Martha and Oliver Hansen Memorial Scholarship, established by Martha and Oliver’s children Steve Hansen, Cindy Barrus and Marty Mercer, honors their parent’s dedication to learning. “We have all greatly benefited from the support our parents gave us in pursuing educational opportunities, and would love to recognize our parents by opening opportunities for others to go to college as well.” The purpose of the award is to recognize and encourage those who desire to enter the field of Education with the intention of teaching in the classroom.

• Resident of Jackson County, Michigan
• Incoming college junior or senior
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 or above
• Majoring in Education with the intention of teaching in the classroom
• Attends an accredited Michigan college or university • Category: Teacher Education
