Mann Educational Opportunity Fund
The Mann Educational Opportunity Fund is a scholarship which honors the late Bernard and Kathlyn Mann, long time Madison residents whose strong belief and commitment to public education helped to ensure the graduation of their five children from James Madison Memorial High School. All of their children went on to a Bachelor's Degree and one earned a Master's Degree. The goal of the Mann Scholar Program is to provide mentoring and educational tools primarily, but not exclusively, to students of color from the Madison Metropolitan School District who show potential for academic achievement, but face significant economic and personal challenges in reaching their full potential.
