Thomas Hardin Scholarship Fund

The Thomas Hardin Scholarship was established in 2017, at the time of Mr. Thomas Hardin's retirement from 15+ years of leading James Madison Memorial High School's legendary Drama, Debate, and Forensics (DDAF) program and teaching in the English department. Mr. Hardin's tireless efforts built the program into an unrivaled success, with a consecutive decade of team state championships in Forensics, countless individual titles at both the state and national level, and professional quality theater productions. At the same time, he excelled as a teacher, expertly tailoring his classes to both honors students and summer school classes. Thousands of young adults that he has influenced leverage the skills he helped cultivate, contributing to not only their professional successes, but also to their understanding of themselves and the world around them. This scholarship seeks to ensure that Mr. Hardin's legacy at JMM lives on forever, and the activities he is so passionate about continue to be valued.
