To provide scholarships to Lansing high school students, via the H.O.P.E. Scholarship Program. Established in memory of Dave West by his friends. Dave, a former Lansing resident, died at the age of 63 while trying unsuccessfully to save his wife Carolyn “Kay” in a fire at their Florida home. His friends knew him as a wonderful person, a true friend and a great humanitarian and devoted family man. He was a graduate of Lansing Everett High School where he was involved in many extracurricular activities.

360 DeWayne Jenks Memorial Scholarship Fund

To provide college scholarships for students graduating from Leslie High School. Established in loving memory of DeWayne Jenks, long-time resident of Leslie and GM employee, by his sons. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are graduating from LHS, demonstrate financial need, are good students with the potential to succeed academically in college, and have other qualities or characteristics which the Leslie Area Educational Foundation scholarship committee considers desirable or relevant. 258 DeWitt Public Schools Foundation - David Cutler Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by David Cutler, a DeWitt High School graduate, and later, one of the world's leading operating systems engineers. After graduating from college in 1965, he worked for DuPont, and then later Digital Equipment Corporation, where he worked on the development of early microcomputers and multi-tasking operating systems. Mr. Cutler joined Microsoft in 1988 and led the development of Windows NT, Microsoft's first 32-bit operating system. Mr. Cutler is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and is only one of 22 Microsoft Technical Fellows. In 2007, Mr. Cutler received the inaugural Microsoft Technical Recognition Award for Career Achievement. This scholarship fund is administered by the DeWitt Public Schools Foundation. Eligibility is open to students who are graduating seniors of DHS, have a GPA of at least 3.25, have reached a high level of athletic achievement in at least one varsity sport, have been accepted at an accredited two- or four-year college or university and who demonstrate financial need. Established by Donalda Warner in memory of her parents to provide scholarships to Lansing Community College students in Ingham County. Scholarship recipients are chosen by LCC. Scholarships are for a student entering their first year of college; they will cover the costs of tuition, fees, and/or books and will be based primarily upon financial need. Priority will be given to students who come from a rural setting, outside of Lansing (although such status is not required). Priority will also be given to students whose past academic performance has not necessarily been outstanding, but who show promise as “late bloomer” students.

Special consideration is given to students with average grades. Additionally, consideration of all potential candidates is not based solely on academic achievement and grades but also on personal initiatives, desire, and financial need."
