Fund Purpose

This sub-fund supports the Eaton Rapids Community Alliance Endowment Fund. Jim and Carolyn’s children set this fund up in memory or our parents. Jim was a life long resident/farmer in the Eaton Rapids area and also had an interest in making the area better for its citizens. He held various positions in the church and was a Trustee on the Hamlin Township Board for 32 years. Carolyn went into teaching after college, stopped working while their kids were younger, then was a preschool teacher at Humpty Dumpty Nursery School. When the community formed the Eaton Rapids Community Alliance as a non-profit and started the teen center named Eaton Rapids Teen Space, they were thrilled with the opportunity to help teens in the area. On Jim’s last visit to the Eaton Rapids area, he got to tour the new building while it was under construction.

Their commitment to giving young people a safe place to grow, learn, and belong is reflected in their support of the Eaton Rapids Teen Center.

This endowment is more than a gift; it is a living tribute that carries their legacy forward, helping future generations with the same warmth and care Jim and Carolyn shared throughout their lives.
