Jennifer Bachelder Memorial Education Fund

The Jennefer Bachelder Fund was established by family and friends of Jennefer Bachelder, devoted and distinguished educator in the Marshall Public Schools. The earnings from this fund shall supplement the annual budgeted allocation for, but not limited to, Math and Accelerated Reading materials and trainings for Walters Elementary School, and not for general purposes for MPS.

The Doc Boelter Outdoor Youth Safety Education Fund was established in memory of Dr. William Boelter by the Wayne B. Fitch Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 138 for charitable endeavors involved with youth and outdoor safety.

The Church Family Memorial Fund was originally established with Marshall Public Schools in July 1996 by the Church Family in memory of Marie A. Church and in recognition of William S. Church, distinguished educators in the Marshall Public School System. Distributions are directed to the Gordon Elementary School Library for reading/media materials.

The Exchange Club of Marshall Fund was established by the Exchange Club of Marshall to address the needs of the Marshall Area in the field of Human Services, particularly the needs of children in Marshall and the surrounding area.

Marshall FFA Student Support Fund

The Marshall FFA Student Support Fund was established by the Marshall FFA Alumni for the purpose of rallying the community around Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) education at Marshall Public Schools, as well as FFA activities, while providing financial assistance to Marshall FFA chapter members for developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.

Tom and Lucy Franke Marshall Donor Advised Fund

The Tom and Lucy Franke Marshall Fund was established by Tom and Lucy Franke to enrich the lives of the Marshall Community by supporting charitable scientific, literary or educational endeavors. At such time as the Fund ceases to have an Advisor, the Advised Fund shall become a Donor Designated Fund of the Foundation. Income shall be distributed from the Fund to Marshall Public Schools for the purpose of school safety initiatives.

The Marsha and Tom Franke Professional Development Series Fund was established by Marsha and Tom Franke to provide annual support for a Comprehensive District Professional Development Program for teachers, administrators and staff of the Marshall Public Schools.

Philip Glotfelty III, M.D. Fund

The Philip Glotfelty III, M.D. Fund was established in October 2023 by Marlene Glotfelty in loving memory of her husband Philip. Dr. Glotfelty was an active and loved member of the Marshall community who had a strong faith in both God and science and lived by the oath, “First, do no harm.” Through this fund, Philip Glotfelty will continue to care for his community by supporting health- and wellness-related programs and activities for Marshall area youth, including but not limited to, extra-curricular activities, field days, school curriculum, and mental health initiatives.

Hayes-Washburn Donor Advised Fund for the Visual Arts

The Hayes-Washburn Fund for the Visual Arts was established by Elizabeth (Betty Bea) Washburn to continue and expand the interests of Muriel Hayes, an educator and philanthropist, who had bequeathed to the Marshall Middle School Art Department Fund. The Fund provides support for programs, such as, visiting artists, visiting art exhibits, tours to art institutes and centers, scholarships for classes at art centers and purchasing supplies for enrichment classes.

Charles Frederick Johnston Fund

The Charles Frederick Johnston Fund was established by his family and friends to honor his memory. Charles enjoyed learning and was an avid reader. In recent years, he became dedicated to genealogical research tracing both his and his wife Dona’s ancestors to the early 15th century, spending many hours at the library. This fund will honor Charles by supporting the Marshall District Library’s mission, including but not limited to, serving as a leader in the community, fostering collaborative partnerships, and providing educational, recreational, and technological services in a safe and welcoming environment.

Kinderhaus Montessori Children's Fund

The Kinderhaus Montessori Children’s Fund was established by James and Nancy Cracraft, longtime residents of Marshall and passionate supporters of the Kinderhaus Montessori Preschool. It is the Cracraft’s desire to assist children with the opportunity to develop their potential in a safe and prepared environment. This fund will aid children (6 weeks through 6 years) and their families who wish to attend Kinderhaus Montessori but demonstrate financial need and/or genuine extenuating financial circumstances.
