Clara Cobb Blum Education Scholarship
Purpose
The Clara Cobb Blum Education Scholarship was established in by Arno Blum in memory of his late wife, Clara. This scholarship is to honor her legacy as a compassionate and dedicated educator. Clara had an immeasurable impact on the lives of hundreds of students over a 33-year career teaching elementary and special education. The scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors, or previous graduates, in Calhoun Intermediate School district, and Olivet High School, pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of Education at a two- or four-year institution. Preference may be given to those with a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Previous graduates must submit proof of graduation from a school within the CISD as well as current transcripts if applicable. Students who receive this scholarship are encouraged to apply for further support in subsequent years however, applicants must submit updated supporting materials. Previously submitted narratives or letters of recommendation will not be accepted.
