Mae E. Sherman Scholarship
Purpose
The Mae E. Sherman Scholarship was established by the Marshall High School Class of 1952 to memorialize a gifted teacher and warm, compassionate woman. Mae Sherman’s family, friends, and former students, whose lives were touched by her, wished to support seniors graduating from Marshall High School with plans to continue their education at a four-year college or university. The scholarships are awarded to Marshall High School graduating seniors seeking a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must show a strong sense of community involvement. One essay is required and is weighed heavily in the committee’s decision process.
