Jam for the Cure Fund

Purpose
The Jam for the Cure Fund was established by Theresa Chaney-Huggett to support non-profit organizations which in turn provide direct support to Calhoun County residents diagnosed with cancer. Resources available for distribution can be used by these organizations to help patients with medical expenses needed for cancer treatment and recovery, including such things as travel for treatment, prescriptions and medical equipment purchases, for example. Jam for the Cure was the idea of Theresa’s late husband, Ken Huggett. Ken was a life-long Marshall resident and musician who was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 and passed away in May 2010. Ken’s premise for the Jam was that he wanted to create a music fundraiser that the whole family could enjoy, where everyone was welcome. His legacy will continue through this fund.
