Purpose
The Derrell Merrill Memorial Fund was created to honor the life and legacy of Derrell Merrill, a proud U.S. Army veteran whose greatest passion was supporting youth in the Sturgis community. After a life-changing spinal injury, Derrell remained dedicated to service, spending more than 15 years coaching and directing the Sturgis Youth Football Program, where he mentored countless young athletes and led major fundraising efforts to strengthen local youth sports.
