Purpose
The Hubbard scholarship fund was established through the estate of Wesley Hubbard. Wes and Jane Hubbard lived and worked in Sturgis for many years. Wes worked as a machinist at Kirsch Company, and Jane operated her house-cleaning service and later a ceramics store from her home. They had no children of their own, but it was nonetheless important to Wes and Jane that young people have the opportunity to go to college-an opportunity they did not have. Upon their death, funds were left to the Foundation to establish a scholarship fund in their name. The Jane and Wesley Hubbard Scholarship Fund awards annual scholarships to qualified students with a good work history.
