A permanent endowment established by an early president of the B&O Railroad, Oscar G. Murray, to care for needy widows and orphans of company employees. As the number of those intended beneficiaries dwindles, the Fund may be used to support programs that assist the elderly in the Baltimore metropolitan area, helping them lead independent lives.
