The Normie and Neal Harris Family Fund for Baltimore
Fund Description
Mary Norman 'Normie' Tomlin Harris with husband, Neal, consistently worked to build resources, opportunities, and supportive communities to enable socioeconomically challenged individuals and families and those impacted by mental health challenges, to overcome obstacles, realize dreams, and become part of making the world a better place. Normie helped start the first halfway houses in Charles Village while a board member at Sheppard Pratt, and with Neal convened a mission group at St. John's Episcopal, Glyndon, to serve homeless men overnight that became Paul's Place. Neal saved 'Concerned Citizens of Butchers Hill' neighborhood from eviction by raising money to buy a city block, and in 1990, established Jubilee Baltimore, Inc. that builds critically needed affordable housing today - please join us in ensuring that many more individuals in Baltimore will have 'home' and the resources to realize their gifts, increase self-determination, and flourish!
