50th Anniversary Neighborhood Grants Fund
Fund Description
Since its inception, the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) recognized the importance of healthy, vibrant neighborhoods. Some of our earliest grants supported Neighborhood Housing Services and Baltimore City Fair. In the half-century since, we’ve awarded millions of dollars for cleaning and greening projects, block captain programs, concert series, festivals, youth programs and more. These activities have made neighborhoods more vibrant and livable, but there is more to do. The legacy of structural racism, including decades of disinvestment, persists, which is why we launched the 50th Anniversary Neighborhood Grants Fund in 2022. The purpose of this Fund is to enhance our neighborhood-based grantmaking and support the Neighborhood Spotlight Awards, celebrating members of our community who create positive change and in turn inspire others to build a better Baltimore. We hope you will join us in recognizing what has been accomplished and what is possible—when we do it together.
