Barb and Don Mourand Family Fund

The Barb and Don Mourand Family Fund was established August 10, 2023 as a donor advised fund to make a lasting difference in our community. The donors intend to create a fund that is permanently endowed. Each year the Foundation will determine the amount allowed for distributions by applying its spending policy for endowed funds to assets in the fund. The Foundation welcomes recommendations from Advisors about distributions from the spendable portion of the Donor Advised Fund.

C. John Peterson Family Fund

The C. John Peterson Family Fund was established September 28, 1993 as a unrestricted to make a lasting difference in our community. It aims to provide support to charitable organizations as directed by the Foundation's Board of Trustees.

Canale Family Fund

The Canale Family Fund was established July 12, 2024 as a donor advised fund to make a lasting difference in our community. The purpose of community Building through support of local based non-profit and government organizations with the City of Marquette executing strategic projects to enhance public spaces and to enable basic human needs.

Cary and Sharon Bjork Family Fund

The Cary and Sharon Bjork Family Fund was established December 22, 2014 as a unrestricted to make a lasting difference in our community. The purpose of the Fund is to provide support for charitable, benevolent and other public purposes.

Christine Pesola Donor Advised Fund

The Christine Pesola Donor Advised Fund was established November 30, 2015 as a donor advised fund to make a lasting difference in our community. The donor will serve as the Advisor to the DAF. Upon death, the Fund is to be maintained as an endowed fund with distributions made as follows: 25% - For charitable purposes providing matching funds for projects in Marquette County. 25% - For charitable purposes specifically benefiting the Arts in Marquette County 25% - For charitable purposes specifically benefiting education in the medical/nursing field. 25% - For general charitable purposes of greatest need.

City Gift Program Endowment

The City Gift Program Endowment was established May 31, 2016 as a designated fund to make a lasting difference in our community. The Fund shall be used for support of the charitable, scientific, or educational purposes of the City of Marquette and its affiliated agencies if any.

City of Marquette Skate Plaza Endowment

The Fund shall be used to provide support for the perpetual maintenance of Skate Plaza located at 301-399 E Fair Ave, Marquette, owned by the City of Marquette.

Community Advised Big Bay Fund

The Community Advised Big Bay Fund was established December 08, 2008 as a unrestricted to make a lasting difference in our community. The Fund shall be used exclusively for the support of the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purpose for the public welfare of the people of the Big Bay community.

Designated Gift Donation Fund

Resolution Establishing a Designated Donation Fund Account for the Community Foundation of Marquette County WHEREAS from time to time the Community Foundation of Marquette County ("the Foundation") may receive designated donations of cash, land, appreciated stock, and other illiquid assets; and WHEREAS, consistent with good accounting practice, the Board wishes to establish an account in which to place such donations pending their liquidation, if necessary and transfer to the Foundation account(s) or distribution to designee, consistent with and appropriate for the charitable purpose(s) specified in the donor's gift; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that there shall be established an account, to be known as the "Designated Donations Fund Account," in which such donations shall be held for accounting purposes until they have been liquidated to enable them to be transferred to the designee consistent with and appropriate for charitable purpose(s) specified in the gift.

Discretionary Grants Fund

The Discretionary Grants Fund was established May 11, 2023 as an unrestricted fund. Gift to this fund will benefit the Marquette County community where and when the need is greatest.

Emil and Elizabeth Vajda Charitable Endowment

The purpose of the Fund is to honor Emil and Elizabeth Vajda by furthering the charitable purposes of the Foundation.

Francis C. Farwell III Donor Advised Fund

The Fund shall be distributed in accordance with the Community Foundation's charitable purposes with recommendations to qualified recipients from donor and/or one or more advisors.

Fred & June Schaefer Legacy Fund for Persons with Special Needs

The income of the Fund will be distributed annually to organizations for the purpose of assistance to persons with special or unique needs as determined by the Advisory Committee. The principal of the Fund remain intact and not be subject to distribution except in extraordinary circumstances.

Fund For Marquette

Gail Anthony Endowment

The Gail Anthony Endowment Fund was established in honor of Gail's service to the Foundation as the CEO in 2013 - 2020. This unrestricted fund will support projects and programs in Marquette County as determined by the Board of Trustees.

George W. Romney Fund

To build local infrastructure of volunteer centers by establishing local endowment funds, to support innovative volunteer projects throughout MI, and to increase awareness and spur participation in volunteer programs through a public relations campaign.

Greater Ishpeming Area Community Fund

The Fund shall be used exclusively for support of the charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes for the public welfare of the people of the Ishpeming Community.

Greater Ishpeming Area Community Fund Operating Endowment

The Foundation shall hold the Fund and provide the annual distribution for the purpose of assisting with the operation of the Greater Ishpeming Area Community Fund. The distribution percentage/amount is recommended annually by the Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Trustees.
