Purpose
"The Hirvonen Foundation and CFMC will remain separate 501(C)3 organizations. Various steps will be taken to ensure that these separate identities are maintained under this arrangement. CFMC CEO/Program Director will be integrally involved in the Hirvonen grant process. CFMC staff will provide the basic due diligence checks (e.g., 501(c)3 check), packet assembling, check preparation, etc. A pass through, non-endowed fund will be established at CFMC for the Hirvonen Foundation. The Hirvonen Foundation board will approve grants as it has in the past. The Hirvonen Foundation will provide payments in the form of grants to the Community Foundation of Marquette County periodically that include sufficient dollars to cover the Hirvonen grants. A base amount to be mutually agreed upon to be mutually agreed upon each year may be left in the fund to cover unanticipated grants."
