Community Environmental Monitoring Program

The Community Environmental Monitoring Program was established September 10, 2012 as a field of interest fund The Fund will allow for implementation of the Community Environmental Monitoring Program as agreed to by SWP, Eagle Mine and the Foundation. CEMP seeks to build public confidence in the environmental management of the operations by establishing independent community monitoring of its environmental performance.

Emerick Family Fund

The Emerick Family Fund was established November 16, 2001 as a donor advised fund to make a lasting difference in our community. It aims to provide financial support for charitable and governmental organizations operating in Marquette County for projects or programs related to natural/wild lands: preservation, expansion or acquisition of public lands; creating or increasing public access; or restoration, education or interpretation of natural areas.

Great Lakes Education Designated Fund

Consistent with the charitable purposes of the Foundation, distributions from this Fund will be used only to provide support for Superior Watershed Partnership for Great Lakes Education programs K-12.

Holman Family Fund

The purpose of the Fund will be to provide financial support for charitable and governmental organizations, which serve the residents of Marquette County or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan generally. Financial support from this fund could include but is not limited to scholarships and research grants for the purpose of studying the mining industry, lighthouses, biology, fishery, environmental or research of Lake Superior.

Marion C. Vander Veen Family Great Lakes Education DAF Fund

Mrs. Marion VanderVeen and her family understand the importance of getting kids out of the classroom to experience the real world and the difficulty of finding funding for non-classroom activities. The Marion C. Vander Veen Family Great Lakes Education Donor Advised Fund aims to educate and involve young people to protect our Great Lakes for future generations.

To provide financial assistance to a student(s) residing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula endeavoring in a cold water fisheries curriculum at Northern Michigan University, Lake Superior State and Michigan Technological University as an undergraduate or graduate student.
