Chisholm Family Fund

The Chisholm Family Fund was established December 03, 2023 as a donor advised fund to make a lasting difference in our community. The Fund shall be distributed in accordance with the Community Foundation's charitable purposes and for the purposes of supporting the junior ski program currently known as Marquette Mountain Racing Team and/or the Marquette Junior Hockey program in Marquette County. The Community Foundation will appoint an advisory committee to advise on timing and distribution amounts from the Fund for the Charitable Purposes. If Marquette Mountain Racing Team and the Marquette Junior Hockey programs needs are met, distributions can be put to the priority needs or best use as determined by the Executive Director and approved by the Advisory Committee.

The City Gift Program Endowment was established May 31, 2016 as a designated fund to make a lasting difference in our community. The Fund shall be used for support of the charitable, scientific, or educational purposes of the City of Marquette and its affiliated agencies if any.

It aims to provide financial support for charitable and governmental organizations operating in Marquette County for projects or programs related to natural/wild lands: preservation, expansion or acquisition of public lands; creating or increasing public access; or restoration, education or interpretation of natural areas.

This Fund was established in memory of Rob Schmeling. Purpose: Consistant with the charitable purposes of the Foundation, distributions from this Fund will be used only to provide support for Noquemanon Trail Network, Should the agency cease to exist the Foundation will work with the Donors to identify an agency with a similar mission as NTN. If this is not possible, the balance of the Fund will be used to support the Foundations operating endowment fund.

Playground for All - Kids Cove 2

While the details of the future Kids Cove plan will include participatory community planning and input , the Marquette Playgrounds for All Committee and the City of Marquette has set high standards and goals from which specific ideas can grow. The playground will be built so it is simple to use, understandable, and safe for all users. Kids Cove 2 will include an all-inclusive design. A playground which will work for the widest spectrum of users meets the concepts of Universal Design (UD). The playground will be built so it is simple to use, understandable, and safe for all users. The Marquette Playgrounds for All Committee will be linking arms with the entire community to reach the financial goals the reality of this dream requires.
