Story of the Fund
Jackie Walorski was a daughter of Indiana through and through—born and raised in South Bend, a graduate of Riley High School and Taylor University, and a tireless advocate for her community. Throughout her life, she broke barriers with integrity and kindness, bringing uncommon empathy to her role in politics. She was a fierce defender of the vulnerable and a passionate believer in the power of education to change lives.
Jackie’s leadership extended well beyond party lines. Whether she was championing bipartisan child tax credits, pushing for economic development in northern Indiana, or working to improve educational access, she brought people together with respect and conviction. She believed that everyone—regardless of background—deserved the opportunity to flourish.
This scholarship was established by family, friends, and supporters to carry forward the values Jackie embodied. It helps students with a heart for ministry, missions, or education—the very paths that shaped Jackie’s journey. Through this scholarship, her story becomes part of theirs, lighting the way toward lives of purpose, compassion, and service.
