This four-year academic scholarship is granted to a first-generation, college-bound Elkhart County resident (one year minimum) in memory of Cpl. Aaron L. Seal.

Story of the Fund
Cpl. Aaron L. Seal served his country with courage and heart. A 2003 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School, he joined the United States Marine Corps and was known for his loyalty, discipline, and dedication to his fellow service members.
Aaron’s life was cut short in 2006 while serving in Iraq. In the years since, his family and friends have preserved his memory by investing in the futures of others. This scholarship was established in Aaron’s honor to support students who, like him, exhibit grit, determination, and a strong sense of duty.
The fund not only memorializes Aaron’s sacrifice but also inspires young people to lead with honor, compassion, and perseverance.
