Purpose
The Brown City Community Schools Seager-Swartz Scholarship is a permanently endowed fund at the Sanilac County Community Foundation, established by the late Lola Kay and Miner Seager, proud Brown City graduates and Michigan State University alumni. Deeply rooted in their appreciation for education and love for their hometown, the Seagers created this endowed scholarship to provide lasting support for Brown City graduates pursuing their education at Michigan-supported colleges or universities. This fund is administered in partnership with Brown City Community Schools and is designed to assist both graduating seniors and Brown City alumni as they continue their education. Students may be awarded the Seager-Swartz Scholarship for up to four years.
