Purpose
The Thee Valhalla Scholarship was established by a 26-year veteran teacher of Sandusky High School to honor his Viking heritage and love for math. The term “Valhalla” is Scandinavian for “Viking Heaven.” This scholarship is awarded to students who have completed at least three years of advanced mathematics courses while also maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. His hope was that this scholarship would encourage graduates to either establish a similar fund themselves or continue to donate to this fund to perpetuate student interest in mathematics. *This scholarship is broken up into multiple installments - one per semester, for the first two semesters.
