S. C. Student Writing Fund
Purpose
This fund, established by Cheryl Kula, helps support an annual Summers County Student Writing Contest to encourage Summers County students to expand their writing skills, and to provide information on writing workshops, writing mentors, and opportunities to submit work to magazines and other writing contests. The Summers County Student Writing Contest offers cash awards in different categories (i.e., short story, poetry, graphic narrative) and in different age groups. The contest was held for the first time in 2014.
